Valójában egyszerre mindkettő, hiszen ugyanaz okozza a két jelenséget: hasonló nagyságú apró vízcseppek a vékony felhőrétegben. Ha a cseppek egyforma nagyok, a korona gyűrűi láthatók.
Corona or iridescent cloud? Actually both, as the two phenomena are caused by the same thing: droplets of more or less the same size in a thin layer of cloud. When the droplets are uniform, the rings of the corona become visible.
