Felső érintőív és felső oldalív - Upper Tangent Arc and Supralateral Arc

Ma délután felső érintőív látszott, teljesen egyedül. Még 22° halo sem volt mellette. A második fotó az első szűrt változata.

In the afternoon there was a lone upper tangent arc. The second photo is the usm-ed version of the first one.



Kicsivel később tükörből észrevettem egy színes ívet a felső érintő felett. Annyira halványan látszott, hogy szabad szemmel szinte lehetetlen volt észrevenni. A fényképekről aztán kiderült, hogy felső oldalív volt.

A bit later I took sight of a coloured arc above the UTA from a mirror. It was so faint that by naked eye it was really difficult to spot. After looking at the photos it became clear that it was a supralateral arc.




Naplemente előtt végül megjelent egy melléknap is. Eddigre a felső érintőív felvette az alacsony napállásnál megszokott V-alakját.

Before sunset a parhelion appeared, too. By this time, the upper tangent arc had taken up the usual V-shape characteristic of low Sun altitudes.
