46° halo

A képeket Zubor András barátom készítette 2008. augusztus 8-án az ausztriai Hörbranzban. A 22°-os halo, a felső érintőív, a melléknapok és a zenitkörüli ív mellett 46°-os halo is van a képen. Ilyen alacsony napállásnál jól látszik, ahogy különválik a zenitkörüli ívtől - a felső oldalív érintené azt. Ha a nap magasabban van, már nehezebb megmondani, hogy felső oldalívet vagy 46°-os halót látunk.

The images were taken by my friend, András Zubor on 8 August 2008 in Hörbranz, Austria. Besides the 22° halo, parhelia, upper tangent arc and circumzenith arc, there's a 46° halo present, as well. At such low sun altitude, the 46° halo clearly separates from the circumzenit arc, whereas a supralateral arc would touch it. When the sun is higher up in the sky, it's difficult to tell which one can be seen.
