Kék folt a parhélikus körön - Blue Spot on the Parhelic Circle

A szeptember 1-i halo-komplexum még egy meglepetést tartogatott, ami a korábbi fotókon is jól látszik, de megérdemel egy külön bejegyzést. Ez a kék folt a parhélikus körön, ami 32°-os napmagasság felett már nemigen észlelhető. Amikor az én képeim készültek a nap épp ilyen magasan volt. Jellemző a kék foltra, hogy a nap állásától függően változtatja a helyzetét. Ha a nap 5°-on van, a kék folt a naptól 115° azimuthra található és csak mintegy 2° hosszú. 30-32°-os napmagasságnál viszont majdnem teljesen a nappal átellenben van, elérve a 180° azimuthot és a 10°-nyi hosszúságot. Ez azt jelenti, hogy a kék folt épp leghosszabb fázisában volt, mikor a képek készültek.

The 1 September complex display had one more interesting part that is worth a separate posting. This is the blue spot on the parhelic circle, which can be observed only at Sun elevations lower than 32°. When my photos were taken, the Sun was exactly that high, and it was slowly sinking. The blue spot changes its position with solar altitude. When the Sun is 5° high, the blue spot is at 115° azimuth and only 2° long. At solar elevations of 30-32°, it is almost opposite the Sun in the anthelic region, reaching 180° azimuth and 10° length. This means that the blue spot was in its longest phase when the images were taken.
