Középkori légköroptika - 6.


A Novgorodi Krónika az orosz történelem legfontosabb és legismertebb középkori forrása. 1141-es bejegyzésében olvashatjuk, hogy április elsején szinte egész nap "egy csodálatos jel"-et lehetett megfigyelni az égen: hat kört, melyből három a nap közelében látszott, és három másik nagyobb kör a naptól távolabb.

Az eredei szöveg:
Въ лѣто 6649 [1141]. Априля въ 1 бысть знамение на небеси дивьно велми: 6 круговъ, 3 около солнця, а кроме солнця другыя 3 великы, и стоя близъ не весь день.

The Chronicle of Novgorod is the most important and best known source for Russia's Medieval history. The entry for A.D. 1141 gives us the following account:

"On April 1 there was a very marvellous sign in the sky; six circles, three close about the sun, and three other large ones outside the sun, and stood nearly all day"

The original text:
Въ лѣто 6649 [1141]. Априля въ 1 бысть знамение на небеси дивьно велми: 6 круговъ, 3 около солнця, а кроме солнця другыя 3 великы, и стоя близъ не весь день.
